When is the best time to come fishing
in Alaska?
Picking the perfect date is nearly
impossible for the life-long Alaskan fisherman, much less for the person
planning their once in lifetime fishing trip! I will attempt to pass on
to you the information that I have compiled over a lifetime of fishing
the Kenai Peninsula and hopefully it will help you in picking your
dates.
Please use the navigation buttons to the left or on top to review
information and charts for each species of fish.

Your Flight:
You are responsible for arranging for your own air travel
to Alaska. It is highly recommended that you book your flight as soon as
possible to get the lowest price.
While most major airlines fly into
Anchorage, we have experienced fewer problems with
Alaska Airlines. Some airlines, such as
Delta Airlines and
United Ailines,
often offer non-stop flights from certain locations.
From Anchorage you will have to make
your way down to the Kenai Peninsula. You have the choice of either
flying down on Era Aviation or getting a Rental Car.
Making your final destination Kenai, Alaska when booking your initial
flight with take care of the flight needs. If this is your first trip to
Alaska, we suggest you make the drive, through what is some of the most
beautiful scenery in the world.
Being only 145 miles south of Anchorage, the drive
will take as little as 2 1/2 hours or you can easily take the entire day
driving down. There are plenty of pull-outs to take pictures or simply
enjoy the scenery.
If you choose to rent a car we HIGHLY
recommend:
Denali
Rental Car @ (907) 276-1230
You will not find better customer service or better prices then this
family owned and operated rental car company.
If you have plenty of money to burn you can also go through some of the
companies listed below:
AVIS Rental Car
HERTZ Rental Car
DOLLAR Rental Car
